World Steam Expo 2012!

Well, well, well...  I just returmed from the World Steam Expo in Dearborne, Michigan... where all my dreams, it seems, came true.

WHAT??

"What on earth do you mean Jody?"

Not only did we play TWO sold out shows to the most fun, dedicated and friendly fans EVER... but I got to experience, one more time, a dance circle of wild n' crazy Steampunks, centered around a jug of milk. After our panel, we took an entire group of fans across a desert of concrete, into the mall to go see Men In Black 3. I got to rub elbows with all of The League of Steam, "The Men Who Will Not Be Blamed For Nothing," Thomas Willeford, Steam Powered Giraffe, and of course, Abney Park. I gulped drinks off of Steampunk Bobba Fett's giant helmet made of ice. Did I mention it was made of freakin' ICE?!?! After we got kicked out of the poor man throwing the party's hotel room for being too loud... the party moved it's way down to the pool... Where not only did some characters who shall remain nameless, do shots off of the helmet, but Thomas punched a hole straight through it! Well, SORTA. He kind of broke his fingers...

But it ended on a good note- Bobba Fett throwing said helmet into the pool as everybody cheered. On a nearby recorder, "Tapps" was played.

Steampunks know how to have a good time.

-Quote of the trip-
.......
Captain Robert
(on stage, mic broken): "It's floppy, yet stable."
Me (on stage, in front of a thousand people): "....That's what she said."
